I was part of a photo shoot yesterday for the nouvelle collection of a French haute couture (*kilig). So blessed to be the first Pinay given a chance to model one of her [designer] creation. I’m sooooooo tempted to upload some behind the scene photos but I need to wait until the final photos are published. It was also great to work with my favourite team – JM Ronquillo (HMUA) and Ronald Suelo (Photographer) along with Rocky (Assistant Stylist / Lighting) and my new friend, Gwendoline (co-model).
Anyhow, it’s Thursday and been seeing #throwback hashtags in Instagram which makes me reminisce of the fun memories during the photoshoots I did with JM and Ronald. Here are the some BTS shots:
BTS 1: The first time I worked with the most in demand HMUA in the French Riviera (who already conquered magazine covers and fashion shows in France) was when I hosted the launch of TFCKat (TFC’s Global Talent Search) in Mougins last March 2012. JM also supported me when I hosted TFCKat’s Grand Finals last July 2012.
BTS 2: JM introduced me to Ronald for our magazine feature (shoot was last October 2012, magazine published last January 2013). We also had the privilege of working with another photographer, Loremi. Here’s a photo collage of us in action (oh look at my hubby – he’s back on cam!).
In between the shoot, JM and I synched into “Oh girls, just wanna have fun” mood :-)
BTS 3: A month after our fun first stint (3 of us), we did a rustic autumn themed shoot, which I often call ‘Twilight-inspired’, last November 2012 with Krista (co-model).
Few weeks later, JM and I did a shoot for Le Hatchery’s spring collection with Leona Hatcher (stylist/designer) and Sophie Baystream (photographer).
BTS 4: Whilst JM was on vacation, Ronald, Rocky and I did the SPLASHED shoot last December when I had to hold my pose for 30 sec until the next wave and was soaking wet in the middle of winter! It was super fun though especially with the help of our never-with-a-dull moment stylist, Rocky, in this beautiful location.
BTS 5: After the test shoot I did with Ronald last February 2013 (one of my favourite photos of all time), Ronald, JM and I conceptualised a vintage-inspired shoot.
Behind the photos published in the magazines, websites and other promo ads were undocumented giggles, pinipigilang kilig, [uber] stretched patience, (as JM would describe) kajologsan, buwis-buhay, tiis-ganda moments and other uncaptured yet unforgettable moments with these two Pinoys – JM and Ronald, who are making their names in the international fashion industry. Most importantly, I am blessed with the friendship we developed over period of time.
I would also like to thank those who supported us during our shoot (stylists, assistants, other photographers).
Love you guys! xxx
